Pilgrimage
In all the years I've been in Canada, I've never experienced a winter like this, something that really made me consider the value of life. The adaptation and resilience that human beings are capable of never ceases to amaze me. For me, the resistance of nature itself and also of human nature (our resistance to perish), has always been a source of great admiration. That is why I decided to document and create this photographic series when I embarked on a journey not only to a sparsely inhabited space, but also to my own existential emptiness. With a huge list of unanswered questions. Those philosophical questions about what life really is and that don't seem to matter. A search that has taken me to the northernmost point that can be reached in this part of the world and the fact that the answer is another question! I'm now only allowed to admire the visual poetry that surrounds me, landscapes so inhospitable and beautiful at the same time. . . . .
